Rather expected game in Lulea where 10th ranked LF Future (2-19) was defeated by eighth ranked Malbas (5-14) 103-93 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Malbas outrebounded LF Future 47-36 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Stefan Alavuk (201-98) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Kasper Hagberg (185-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. Four Malbas players scored in double figures. Guard Robel Gebremeskel (185-95) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Serbian guard Stefan Zivkovic (185-93) added 26 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Malbas moved-up to seventh place. LF Future lost seventeenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Malbas will meet higher ranked Hogsbo (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. LF Future will play against IK Eos (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
