Rather expected game in Izhevsk where 14th ranked Ryazan (3-30) was defeated by eleventh ranked Kupol-Rodniki (12-21) 101-96 on Tuesday. Kupol-Rodniki shot 29 for 39 from the free-throw line, while Ryazan only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Ryazan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Igor Samsonov (202-89) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Center Aleksey Karpeko (204-89) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Ukrainian center Ievgen Minchenko (213-94) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds and power forward Maxim Morozov (205-96) added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kupol-Rodniki maintains eleventh place with 12-21 record.
