Regular Season Round 24: GET Vosges - Souffel 88-81

We should mention about the upset which took place in Golbey, where higher ranked Souffelweyersheim (10-14) lost to fifteenth ranked GET Vosges (9-15) in a road game 81-88 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Souffelweyersheim. The best player for the winners was center Alexis Thomas (196-95) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Rashid Gaston (206-94, college: Norfolk St., agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five GET Vosges players scored in double figures. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 assists and 4 steals and swingman Steven Ricard (200-90) added 18 points respectively. GET Vosges moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with SAP Vaucluse. Loser Souffelweyersheim keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. GET Vosges will face higher ranked La Charite (#9) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
