Regular Season Round 25: AZS PCz - Slask 2 Wroclaw 79-62

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (19-5) against eighth ranked AZS PCz (11-14) on Wednesday night. Visiting Slask 2 Wroclaw was defeated by AZS PCz in Czestochowa 79-62. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Slask 2 Wroclaw. AZS PCz forced 19 Slask 2 Wroclaw turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Marcin Majcherek (196-99) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Przemyslaw Laszewski (194-90) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Point guard Sebastian Bozenko (182-98) answered with 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Maksymilian Zagorski (196-99) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Slask 2 Wroclaw. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS PCz maintains eighth place in Group D with 11-14 record. Newly promoted Slask 2 Wroclaw keeps the second position with five games lost. AZS PCz will face higher ranked Pleszew (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slask 2 Wroclaw will play against Otmuchow and hope to win that game.
