Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Zadar: KK Zadar (#2) and Jazine (#12). KK Zadar (16-1) smashed visiting Jazine (2-15) by 22 points 116-94. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zadar. Jazine was better in fourth quarter 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Zadar looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for American Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 4 assists. International point guard Luka Bozic (201-96, agency: XL Basketball Agency) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. KK Zadar had such big advantage that coach Aramis Naglic felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Goran Fodor (195-90) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Franko Kastropil (212-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Jazine. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KK Zadar have an impressive 16-game winning streak. KK Zadar keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Cedevita. Jazine lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom place with 15 games lost. KK Zadar will face Split (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Jazine will play against Alkar (#10) and hope to win that game.
