Regular Season Round 26: Burgos - Easo 44-80

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Easo (17-7) smashed on the road 8th ranked Burgos (13-19) 80-44 on Saturday. The game without a history. Easo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Easo outrebounded Burgos 42-27 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Inaki Nagore (174-91) who scored 14 points. Point guard Iker Arrieta (180-92) chipped in 11 points. Center Mario Tobar (200-88) produced 11 points and 5 rebounds and Portuguese center Daniel Baptista (206-96, college: George Mason, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Easo maintains third position in Group A-A with 17-7 record having just four point less than leader Vic. Burgos lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 19 games lost. Easo will face Valle de Egues (#12) in Olaz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Burgos will play on the road against Valladolid Univ. (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
