Date: March 10, 2018
Important game to mention about took place in Goettingen. Fifteenth ranked BG Goettingen (6-16) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (13-11) 95-92 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Deutsche Bank Skyliners. Deutsche Bank Skyliners were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Brion Rush (191-84, college: Grambling St., agency: 3Eye) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and the other American import point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) who added 12 points and 12 assists during the contest. BG Goettingen's coach Johannes Roijakkers allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Canadian-British guard Philip Scrubb (191-92) with 24 points and 6 assists and American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five BG Goettingen and four Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. BG Goettingen maintains fifteenth position with 6-16 record. Deutsche Bank Skyliners at the other side keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Wuerzburg. BG Goettingen will play against league's second-placed ALBA Berlin on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#17) and hope to get back on the winning track.
