No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked CAB Madeira (13-9) beat 7th ranked Ovarense (10-12) in Funchal 76-65 on Saturday. The winners were led by American forward Frederick Gentry (201-77, college: McNeese St.) who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Khalen Cumberlander (190, college: Cent.Conn.St.) supported him with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five CAB Madeira players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 5 assists by American point guard Will Perry (180-94, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) did not help to save the game for Ovarense. Canadian-British forward Jermel Kennedy (201-89, college: Lander) added 5 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Ovarense's coach Nuno Manarte rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CAB Madeira have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Ovarense keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.
