There was an upset when higher ranked Mataro Parc Boet (9-11) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Roser (5-15) 92-78 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Roser's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-14 extending their advantage to 14 points. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Xavier Assalit (187-95) who scored 28 points and 5 assists. Albert Sulleva chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Roser's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Marc Rubio (186-88) produced 28 points and American forward Faronte Drakeford (201-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Roser maintains fourteenth position in Group C-A with 5-15 record. Mataro Parc Boet lost third consecutive game. Mataro Parc Boet at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Roser will face league's second-placed Menorca in Mahon in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
