Fourteenth-ranked SAP Vaucluse (9-16) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked UB Chartres (16-9) in Sorgues on Saturday. The visitors from Chartres managed to secure only two-point victory 102-100. However their fans expected much easier game. UB Chartres outrebounded SAP Vaucluse 32-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for UB Chartres. They maintain fifth place with 16-9 record. Loser SAP Vaucluse keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with GET Vosges. UB Chartres will meet at home Souffelweyersheim (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SAP Vaucluse will play against Lorient and hope to secure a win.
