MBK Ruzomberok cruised past UFK Nitra for 1-0 lead. MBK Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to UKF Nitra's 28. MBK Ruzomberok forced 21 UKF Nitra turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including 19 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (180-96, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists. Her fellow American import center Ariel Butts (190-93, college: Rutgers, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. MBK Ruzomberok's coach Juraj Suja felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Laura Horvatova (166-97) answered with 10 points and 6 rebounds and center Michaela Zentkova (190-89) added 6 points in the effort for UKF Nitra.
