Second Stage Round 4: BCM Orli - Nymburk B 83-81

The most exciting game of round 4 in the 1Liga took place in Prostejov. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Nymburk B (13-9) to fourth ranked BK Prostejov B (10-11) 83-81 on Sunday evening. BK Prostejov B forced 21 Nymburk B turnovers. Strangely Nymburk B outrebounded BK Prostejov B 49-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BK Prostejov B made 9 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Nymburk B helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Stepan Borovka (194-0) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 assists and Slovakian Juraj Palenik (194-0) who added 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. BK Prostejov B's coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side Miroslav Stafl (-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and Rostislav Jirak produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BK Prostejov B maintains fourth position in Places 7-12 with 10-11 record. Nymburk B at the other side dropped to the third place with nine games lost. BK Prostejov B are looking forward to face league's second-placed USK Praha B on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Nymburk B will play against Ostrava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
