Aaguacateros held off Mineros to seal their semifinal appearance. Aaguacateros made 32-of-42 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Aaguacateros had a 40-29 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Aaguacateros brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Mineros were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Stephen Soriano (200-85, college: Colorado Mesa) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Nick Harney (203-92, college: Fairmont St.) replied with 35 points (!!!) and his fellow American import guard Eric McClellan (193-93, college: Gonzaga, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Mineros. Five Aaguacateros and four Mineros players scored in double figures. Mineros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
