1Liga top team - Sokol Pisek (15-7) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked Ostrava (9-13) 92-76. They outrebounded Ostrava 42-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Pavel Englicky (210-83) contributed with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Michal Palat (194-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Matous Kurecka (186-0) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ostrava. Four Ostrava players scored in double figures. Sokol Pisek maintains first position in Places 7-12 with 15-7 record. Ostrava at the other side keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Sokol Pisek's next round opponent will be Novy Jicin (#6) at home where they are favorite. Ostrava will play against Nymburk B and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
