Regular Season Round 20: BC Timisoara - Phoenix Galati 73-79

The most important game in the last round took place in Timisoara between third ranked BC Timisoara (14-6) and eighth ranked Phoenix Galati (10-10) on Monday night. BC Timisoara was defeated by Phoenix Galati in a tough game at home 73-79. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of BC Timisoara. Serbian guard Mladen Jeremic (198-88, agency: 011 Sports) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Jordan Burgess (196, college: VCU) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for BC Timisoara. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Phoenix Galati moved-up to seventh place. BC Timisoara at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Oradea. Phoenix Galati are looking forward to face league's second-placed UBT Cluj Napoca at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BC Timisoara will play against Craiova and is hoping to win this game.
