Quarter-Finals Round 1: Giants - Rebels 80-70

Giants held off Rebels for 1-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Giants. Rebels was better in second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Giants forced 20 Rebels turnovers. The former international point guard Jeffrey Henfield (193-85, college: Tarleton St.) nailed 26 points and 8 steals for the winning side and the former international guard DShon Taylor (196-93, college: Norfolk St.) accounted for 15 points. Giants' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Deshawn Dean came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Rashard Williams (183, college: Fisk) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Rebels in the defeat. Four Rebels players scored in double figures.
