Haukar edged Keflavik to gain 1-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Haukar. Keflavik was better in third quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Keflavik 44-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. International guard Kari Jonsson (190-97, college: Drexel) fired 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Emil Barja (192-91) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Haukar players scored in double figures. American forward Christian Jones (201-93, college: UNLV, agency: BeoBasket) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Dadi-Lar Jonsson (182-96) added 20 points respectively for lost side.
