Very important is a home loss of third ranked Besiktas (14-7) against sixth ranked Sakarya BSB (13-8) on Saturday night. Host Besiktas was defeated by Sakarya BSB in Istanbul 71-58. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican guard Gian Clavell (193-93, college: Colorado St.) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian power forward Nikola Jankovic (207-94, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import swingman Jon Diebler (198-88, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakarya BSB moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Darussafaka and Banvit BK. Besiktas at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Sakarya BSB's next round opponent will be Darussafaka (#5) in Istanbul. Besiktas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Istanbul BBSK.
