Monthey used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Luzern 79-55 on Saturday night. Monthey dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Swiss Central's 20. They outrebounded Swiss Central 39-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. American forward Markel Humphrey (198-86, college: Marshall, agency: 3Eye) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Portuguese forward Kevin Monteiro (196-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four Monthey players scored in double figures. Monthey's coach Branko Milisavljevic felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Austin Chatman (183-93, college: Creighton, agency: SDJ Sports) produced 11 points and 9 rebounds and Marco Lehmann (186-93) added 22 points respectively for lost side. Monthey will meet Lakers (#9) in the next round. Swiss Central will play against Winterthur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
