Regular Season Round 19: Tartu Ulikool - Rapla 77-65

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tartu. Second ranked host Tartu Ulikool (15-7) defeated 3rd placed Rapla (13-9) 77-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rapla. The game was mostly controlled by Tartu Ulikool. Rapla managed to win fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tartu Ulikool looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Swedish center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side the former international Gert Dorbek (193-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists and American point guard Dominique Hawkins (183-94, college: Kentucky) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Rapla's coach Aivar Kuusmaa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tartu Ulikool maintains second place with 15-7 record having two points less than leader Kalev/Cramo. Rapla at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Tartu Ulikool are looking forward to face TLU/Kalev (#5) in Tallinn in the next round. Rapla will play on the road against Noorteliiga in Tallinn and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
