There was no surprise when 3rd ranked Piacenza (18-8) lost on the road to first ranked Cento (22-4) 81-63 on Sunday. Cento made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Cento outrebounded Piacenza 38-25 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Carlo Cantone (185-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points and 5 assists. Center Giorgio Piunti (205-90) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Cento players scored in double figures. The former international guard Rodolfo Rombaldoni (193-77, agency: Players Group) replied with 15 points and naturalized Argentinian forward Duilio Birindelli (200-84) added 10 points in the effort for Piacenza.
