Semi-Finals Game 1: Capitanes - Fuerza Regia 69-68

Capitanes nipped Fuerza Regia to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. Strangely Fuerza Regia outrebounded Capitanes 44-32 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fuerza Regia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Hector Hernandez (205-85, college: Fresno St., agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. American forward Ricardo Powell (199-83, college: S.Carolina) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and international forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) added 9 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Fuerza Regia. Fuerza Regia's coach Paco Olmos let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
