Date: March 18, 2018
The game between Top Four teams took place in Strasbourg. Third ranked host SIG Strasbourg (16-7) defeated 4th placed JSF Nanterre (13-10) 93-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of JSF Nanterre. The game was mostly controlled by SIG Strasbourg. JSF Nanterre managed to win second period 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SIG Strasbourg dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to JSF Nanterre's 34. SIG Strasbourg had a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-89, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 9 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Four SIG Strasbourg players scored in double figures. SIG Strasbourg's coach Vincent Collet used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International Lahaou Konate (196-91) responded with 20 points and American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: W.Virginia) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to second place, which they share with Le Mans. JSF Nanterre at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Limoges and Bourg. SIG Strasbourg is looking forward to face Gravelines-Dunkerque (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. JSF Nanterre will play against the league's leader Monaco (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
