Regular Season Round 26: Giulianova - Campli 75-74

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Giulianova (11-15) edged at home 9th ranked Campli (13-13) 75-74 on Sunday. Campli was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Nicola Bastone (196-92) saved the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. Center Daniele Tomasello (203-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Gianluca Di-Carmine (200-86) replied with 16 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and guard Gianni Cantagalli (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Campli. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Giulianova maintains twelfth position in B with 11-15 record. Loser Campli dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost. Giulianova will face higher ranked Pescara (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
