Finals Game 2: 36ers - United 110-95

Date: March 18, 2018
Adelaide bounced back from the starting loss and edged Melbourne to even the title series at 1-1. The game was mostly controlled by Adelaide 36ers. United managed to win fourth quarter 31-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Adelaide 36ers shot 28 for 40 from the free-throw line, while United only scored twelve points from the stripe. They outrebounded United 46-35 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 30 personal fouls committed by United helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International swingman Mitch Creek (195-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Casey Prather (198-91, college: Florida) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) added 19 points in the effort for United. Five Adelaide 36ers and four United players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
