Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Minsk: Tsmoki-Minsk (#1) and Impuls BGUIR (#3). Impuls BGUIR was crushed at home by 52 points 72-124 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Impuls BGUIR. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Impuls BGUIR's 36. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 35 Impuls BGUIR turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Impuls BGUIR's players. International guard Siarhei Tatur (194-91) stepped up and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals for the winners and forward Kiryl Chumakov (197-95) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Yuriy Ignatev (202-91) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds and forward Yaraslau Kurapau (203-91) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against COR-Borisfen (#3) in Mogilev in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Impuls BGUIR will have a break next round.
