Semi-Finals Game 1: HNMKY U23 - MuKi 84-48

The game without a history. HNMKY U23 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MuKi to just 6 points in fourth quarter. HNMKY U23 dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to MuKi's 30 and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. HNMKY U23 forced 19 MuKi turnovers and outrebounded them 48-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when HNMKY U23 made 7 blocks. Ricky Waxlax (194-99) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (193-81) chipped in 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Five HNMKY U23 players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Markus Rautasalo (180-0) responded with 5 points and 4 assists and forward Panu Pursiainen (195-84) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
