Very expected game when 7th ranked Indonesian CLS Knights (5-15) lost to third ranked Filipino Alab Pilipinas (14-6) in Manila 67-84 on Wednesday. Alab Pilipinas outrebounded CLS Knights 53-42 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Alab Pilipinas made 7 blocks. Quite impressive performance for American-Filipino guard Bobby-Ray Parks (193-93, college: High School) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Justin Brownlee (197-88, college: St.John's) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Shane Edwards (201-87, college: UALR) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for CLS Knights. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alab Pilipinas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mono Vampire and Hong Kong ELL. CLS Knights lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 15 games lost.
