Lulea Basket fired past Mark Basket to secure the opening win. Lulea Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Mark's 46. They outrebounded Mark 38-26 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lulea Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Mark's players. American guard Jessica Thomas (168-94, college: Miami, FL, agency: Two Points) fired 20 points and 8 assists for the winners. The former international forward Chioma Nnamaka (183-85, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Lulea Basket players scored in double figures. American power forward Alexis Hyder (180-94, college: LSU) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky, agency: Legends Sports) added 23 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
