Finals Game 3: United - 36ers 101-98

Date: March 23, 2018
Melbourne United regained the lead in the NBL Grand Final series. They held off Adelaide for 2-1 advantage. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. United made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Adelaide 36ers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) who led his team to a victory with 25 points. His fellow American import swingman Casey Prather (198-91, college: Florida) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. United's coach Dean Vickerman used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International swingman Mitch Creek (195-92) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Daniel Johnson (210-88, college: Pepperdine) added 20 points in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. Four United and five Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures.
