Quarter-Finals Round 3: Haukar - Keflavik 78-81

Keflavik rallied past Haukar to prolong the series. Haukar was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 23-15 charge of Keflavik, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Haukar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Hordur Vilhjalmsson (194-88) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Gudmundur Jonsson (188-84) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Paul Jones (198-89, college: W.Washington) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and international guard Kari Jonsson (190-97, college: Drexel) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively.
