The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked BK Lions Hradec's (1-28) home loss to eleventh ranked MMCITE Brno (9-20) 66-90 on Saturday. MMCITE Brno outrebounded BK Lions Hradec 44-22 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serbian Djordje Lelic (198-89, agency: PEPI SPORT) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Canyon Barry (198-94, college: Florida) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. American guard DeAndre Upchurch (188-91, college: Tarleton St.) produced 17 points and Serbian point guard Edi Sinadinovic (193-88) added 9 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MMCITE Brno maintains eleventh place in Places 7-12 with 9-20 record. BK Lions Hradec lost their seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. MMCITE Brno are looking forward to face higher ranked USK Praha (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Lions Hradec will play against BK Kolin and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
