The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Okapi Aalstar's (14-7) home victory over 5th ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (11-11) 83-77. Okapi Aalstar shot 60.4 percent from the field. Okapi Aalstar outrebounded Belfius Mons-Hainaut 30-18 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Olivier Troisfontaines (196-89) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Troisfontaines is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American power forward Matt Tiby (203-92, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Spirou. Belfius Mons-Hainaut lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Okapi Aalstar will play against league's second-placed Antwerp Giants at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play against Spirou Charleroi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
