Neuchatel used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Boncourt 104-68. Neuchatel dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Boncourt's 36 and made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Boncourt 43-26 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Neuchatel players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Boncourt's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Ballard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Neuchatel's coach Niksa Bavcevic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International Juraj Kozic (198-95) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American center Amir Williams (211-92, college: Ohio St.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Boncourt. Five Neuchatel and four Boncourt players scored in double figures. Neuchatel will play against Lugano Tigers (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Boncourt will play against Geneve Lions to get more than just one victory in their record.
