No shocking result in a game when second ranked BK Pardubice (20-9) defeated at home 5th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (13-16) 69-55 on Saturday. BK Pardubice dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Basketbal Svitavy's 28. BK Pardubice looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International point guard Viktor Pulpan (191-96) fired 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Ondrej Kohout (205-91) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four BK Pardubice players scored in double figures. International swingman Simon Pursl (203-97, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Lubos Kovar (203-0) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Pardubice have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place in Places 1-6 with 20-9 record having seven points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. Basketbal Svitavy lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. BK Pardubice are looking forward to face BK Olomoucko (#6) in Prostejov in the next round. Basketbal Svitavy will play at home against BK Decin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
