Regular Season Round 32: Siarka - Kotwica 75-86

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Kotwica (12-18) defeated 11th ranked Siarka (12-18) in Tarnobrzeg 86-75 on Saturday. Kotwica had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by power forward Lukasz Bodych (201-90) who scored that evening 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Pawel Dzierzak (188-95) supported him with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Kotwica's coach Pawel Blechacz used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 20 points and 6 assists by point guard Jakub Stanios (180-94) did not help to save the game for Siarka. Wiktor Sewiol (198-97, college: N.Platte CC) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Kotwica moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Siarka. Kotwica will meet higher ranked Sokol Lancut (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Siarka will play against Biofarm PZN (#8) in Poznan and hope to secure a win.
