Regular Season Round 28: Lanzarote - Estudio 84-75

There was a minor upset in Arrecife where 12th ranked Estudio (8-16) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Lanzarote (8-17) 84-75 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Javier Herreros (194-94) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Jarad Scott (203-95, college: Union, TN) who added 12 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Five Lanzarote players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Juan Llorente (180-93) responded with 18 points and 6 assists and swingman Alvaro Nogueras (192-89) scored 15 points. Lanzarote moved-up to thirteenth place in Group B, which they share with Casvi. Newly promoted Estudio keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Lanzarote will face higher ranked Gran Canaria II (#10) in Las Palmas in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
