Finals Game 4: 36ers - United 90-81

Date: March 25, 2018
Adelaide 36ers toppled Melbourne United to force the decisive fifth game in the championship series. United trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 23-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-90 at the end of the game. Adelaide 36ers shot 35 for 48 from the free-throw line, while United only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded United 48-34 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. 32 personal fouls committed by United helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Daniel Johnson (210-88, college: Pepperdine) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Casey Prather (198-91, college: Florida) replied with 23 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for United. Five Adelaide 36ers and four United players scored in double figures. United's coach Dean Vickerman rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
