Very expected game when 15th ranked Palermo GB (7-20) was crushed at home by first ranked Cento (23-4) 73-47 on Sunday. Cento looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Palermo GB's players. It was a great evening for center Giorgio Piunti (205-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian guard Adrian Chiera (190-94, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 11 points. The best for the losing side was guard Andrea Lombardo (197-90) with 11 points and guard Michele Venturelli (190-82) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cento maintains first place in B with 23-4 record. Newly promoted Palermo GB keeps the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Cento will face Rimini (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Palermo GB will play against Reggio Emilia (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
