Regular Season Round 29: Bandirma Kir. - Bakirkoy 83-85

A very interesting game took place in Balikesir. It ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Bandirma Kir. (16-13) to eleventh ranked Bakirkoy (14-15) 85-83 on Sunday evening. Bakirkoy players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Manny Atkins (201-91, college: Georgia St.) who scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian guard Marek Klassen (185-92, college: Point Loma) chipped in 6 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Sedat Karagulle (-99) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Ismail Cem Ulusoy (183-96, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Bakirkoy moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Istanbulspor and Akhisar Bld. Bandirma Kir. at the other side keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Bakirkoy's next round opponent will be Socar Petkim (#15) at home which should be theoretically an easy game.
