Quarter-Finals Round 3: Alvik Basket - Visby 55-71

Visby upset Alvik Basket on the road to advance into the semifinal stage. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Visby Ladies dominated on the defensive end, holding Alvik Basket to just 7 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was American guard Nici Gilday (175-92, college: Santa Clara) who scored 31 points and 5 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Canadian forward Rashida Timbilla (186-92, college: Massachusetts) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Visby Ladies players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Klara Lundquist (173-99) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and international forward Paula Juhlin (184-91) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
