Second Stage Round 8: BK Olomoucko - BK Pardubice 81-84

Sixth-ranked BK Olomoucko (12-18) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked BK Pardubice (21-9) in Prostejov on Wednesday. The visitors from Pardubice managed to secure only three-point victory 84-81. However their fans expected much easier game. BK Pardubice looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international forward Radek Necas (206-80) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Ondrej Kohout (205-91) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian point guard Jan Mocnik (178-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 16 assists and American forward Charles Mitchell (203-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) added 17 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for BK Olomoucko. Four BK Olomoucko players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BK Pardubice have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Places 1-6 with 21-9 record having seven points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. BK Olomoucko lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 18 games lost. BK Pardubice are looking forward to face league's leader CEZ Nymburk at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BK Olomoucko will play against Basketbal Svitavy (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
