Guangsha raced past Shandong for 1-0 advantage. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 28-of-36 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Golden Stars were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: 3Eye) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Taiwanese guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-82) chipped in 32 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). At the losing side American point guard Ty Lawson (180-87, college: N.Carolina) responded with 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists and international guard Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) scored 34 points (!!!). Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and four Golden Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
