An interesting game took place in Bamberg where 11th ranked German Brose Baskets (11-18) were upset on its own court by fourteenth ranked Italian Armani Milano (10-19) 83-78 on Thursday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) stepped up and scored 12 points for the winners and Lithuanian power forward Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. American-Italian guard Daniel Hackett (199-87, college: USC) responded with 17 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Croatian-German center Leon Radosevic (207-90, agency: BeoBasket) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Armani Milano and five Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Armani Milano maintains fourteenth place with 10-19 record, which they share with FC Barcelona. Defending German champion Brose Baskets keep the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Armani Milano will face higher ranked Panathinaikos (#5) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
