An interesting game for KK Zadar (18-1) which played road game in Zagreb against 3rd placed Cibona (14-5). Second ranked KK Zadar had an easy win 98-80. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Cibona. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 98-80. KK Zadar looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 27 points. The former international point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international center Luka Zoric (211-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and the former international forward Marin Rozic (201-83, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 19 points in the effort for Cibona. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cibona's coach Ante Nazor rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. KK Zadar have an impressive series of eighteen victories in a row. KK Zadar keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Cedevita. Cibona at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with GKK Sibenik. KK Zadar is looking forward to face H.Analitica (#8) in Zagreb in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cibona will play on the road against Alkar (#10) in Sinj and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
