Regular Season Round 28: GET Vosges - Challans 66-72

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked GET Vosges (10-18) lost to sixth ranked Vendee Challans (16-12) in Golbey 66-72 on Friday. The winners were led by naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahim Saounera (179-87) who scored that evening 15 points and 8 assists and point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Masse Doumbe (203-87, college: Keiser) did not help to save the game for GET Vosges. American forward Rashid Gaston (206-94, college: Norfolk St., agency: Inception Sports) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vendee Challans maintains sixth position with 16-12 record. Loser GET Vosges dropped to the fifteenth place with 18 games lost. Vendee Challans will meet at home Lourdes-Tarbes (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. GET Vosges will play against Saint-Quentin and hope to secure a win.
