PeKa rolled past Honka in overtime to open win count. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-10. But Tapiolan Honka won second period 16-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Tapiolan Honka used huge pressure winning it 17-11 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 2-11. American guard Daisha Simmons (178-91, college: Seton Hall, agency: Gamble Sports Management) stepped up and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and her fellow American import forward Megan Mullings (185-92, college: Alaska-Anch., agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) responded with 9 points and 25 rebounds and the former international swingman Heta Korpivaara (185-84, college: Seton Hall) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds.
