Very expected game in Poznan where 12th ranked Siarka (12-19) was defeated by eighth ranked Biofarm PZN (16-15) 84-71 on Saturday. Biofarm PZN dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Siarka's 36. They outrebounded Siarka 51-25 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Biofarm PZN looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Siarka's players. Forward Filip Struski (200-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Mikolaj Kurpisz (202-98) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Biofarm PZN's coach Przemyslaw Szurek used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was point guard Jakub Stanios (180-94) with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Filip Czyznielewski (198-91) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Biofarm PZN and five Siarka players scored in double figures. Biofarm PZN moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Pruszkow. Siarka lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Biofarm PZN will face Pogon Prudnik (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Siarka will play against SKK Siedlce and hope to win that game.
