Important game to mention about took place in Prostejov. Sixth ranked BK Olomoucko (13-18) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (14-17) 87-85 on Saturday evening. BK Olomoucko dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Basketbal Svitavy's 22. American forward Charles Mitchell (203-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Slovenian point guard Jan Mocnik (178-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists. The former international guard Pavel Slezak (186-84) came up with 26 points and American point guard Bryan Smithson (183-85, college: NC-Asheville, agency: HMS) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Basketbal Svitavy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted BK Olomoucko maintains sixth place in Places 1-6 with 13-18 record. Basketbal Svitavy at the other side keeps the fifth position with 17 games lost. BK Olomoucko will play against league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basketbal Svitavy will play against BK Opava (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
