Maccabi Ashdod ensured the winning start to the championship series. They breezed past Elitzur Ramla in the opener. The game without a history. Maccabi Ashdod led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Maccabi Ashdod forced 20 Elitzur Ramla turnovers. Power forward Tiffany Jackson (191-85, college: Texas) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St., agency: Ron Sport) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures.
